Your Right of Withdrawal

As a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (UK) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Withdrawal Period

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party nominated by you (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of the goods.

How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can do this by:

• Logging into your account and requesting a return directly from your order page.
• Emailing us at hello@thechocolatesmiths.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to withdraw.

You may use the model withdrawal form below, though it is not obligatory:

Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from your order, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (except for any additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer). We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and no later than:

• 14 days after the day we receive back the goods from you, or
• 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
• 14 days after the day you informed us of your decision to withdraw (if no goods were sent).

We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

Returning the Goods

Please send back the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

Exceptions

Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• Perishable goods or goods liable to expire rapidly (this may include certain chocolate products — please check your order confirmation).
• Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, once unsealed after delivery.
• Goods which are, after delivery, inseparably mixed with other items.
